Additional Financial Disclosure For the Assurant Solutions Segment Released: March 21, 2007

Assurant has enhanced the top line disclosure for Assurant Solutions expanding it from selected products to a complete reconciliation of gross written premiums, net earned premiums and fee income for all product lines and subtotals for domestic and international revenues. Assurant has also restated gross written premiums for service contracts to include all service contracts, including consumer electronics, autos and recreational vehicles. Also included are domestic and international combined ratios for all Assurant Solutions products, excluding preneed. Preneed portfolio yield and average invested assets are also provided.

Statement of Operations for the Assurant Reporting Segments

The additional historical financial information contains condensed segment statements of operations for Assurant Solutions (including the former Assurant Preneed business), Assurant Specialty Property, Assurant Health, Assurant Employee Benefits and Assurant Corporate & Other for the five quarters ended March 31, 2006 and fiscal years 2005 and 2004.

As part of the re-alignment process, certain run-off products have been reclassified to the Assurant Corporate & Other segment.

Condensed Balance Sheets

The additional historical financial information also includes a condensed balance sheet for each of Assurant's reporting segments – Assurant Solutions, Assurant Specialty Property, Assurant Health, Assurant Employee Benefits, and Assurant Corporate & Other – at December 31, 2005.
